The Society of Fellows is a group of individuals who
have a special interest in the intellectual and educational
activities of The Huntington Library, Art Collections,
and Botanical Gardens. Fellows are integral to institutional
life at The Huntington, and many contribute their time
and leadership as volunteer docents, fundraisers, committee
members, Overseers and Trustees.
The Huntington offers exclusive privileges to the Society
of Fellows as recognition of their support. Access to
the grounds during non-public hours; invitations to
special events and programs, the opportunity to schedule
a private, docent-led tour, as well as unique opportunities
to meet and travel with curators are among these privileges.
Each year, Fellows contribute vital unrestricted funds
that help maintain The Huntington's standard of excellence
and increase its service as a dynamic education and
research facility. Fellows' annual contributions enable
The Huntington to preserve distinguished and legendary
Library holdings, celebrated collections of British
and American art, and the renowned Botanical Gardens.
In addition, educational materials and programs for
more than 25,000 school children that visit annually
are made possible, in part, thanks to the generosity
of the Society of Fellows.
